Our vision for the Heritage Area includes:
Trail Systems to connect Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve with the South River Corridor, Panola Mountain State Park, South Rockdale Community Park and City of Lithonia.
Heritage Preservation and Education - living history farm, quarry museum, interpretive trails, and historic structures.
Recreation - hiking, biking, birding, group camping, fishing.
Ecosystem Protection - environmental education center, land acquisitions and restoration of riparian corridors.
Wildlife Protection - animal rescue and rehabilitation center (Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (A.W.A.R.E.)) wildlife corridors.
